Regular Clay Class Curriculum
HAND BUILDING: A general ceramics class for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students focused on a variety of clay forming techniques. Coiling, pinching, slump, and slab building will be explored along with a demonstration of wheel throwing. Advanced students will set goals and will receive instruction appropriate to their skill level. Students will also learn glazing and related glazing techniques in this 4 weeks.

WHEEL THROWING: Beginning Students learn the basics of throwing and how to create functional and decorative pieces, such as cylinders, bowls, and mugs. Advanced Students are challenged to continue to learn at their appropriate skill level in this 6 week class. Ages 12-Adult

CLAY EXPERIENCE: A group class designed as a fun experience for birthday parties or special employee/co-worker events. Participants will create one hand building and one wheel throwing project in first class. Two weeks later, Glazing techniques will be explored and executed to finish your pieces in the second class. Ages 5-Adult
